Swim Course

Swim Course View Map » One mile swim that starts and exits on a boat ramp. Water temperature in George Wyth Lake during September is usually in the 60s. Water quality in George Wyth Lake will be tested for safety several times in the weeks leading up to the race. If water quality is deemed to be unsafe for race day, the event will be a 3.0 mile run – 22 mile bike – 3.0 mile run duathlon. Athletes will be notified of any changes as soon as possible after determination is made.

Bike Course

Bike Course 22 mile loop on scenic rural roads, with one 3-mile out and back section. The course includes turns, train tracks, and will be open to traffic. Areas requiring greater caution will be staffed by police and/or volunteers. An aid station will be located mid-way through the course with water, sports drink, and power snacks.

Road or trail hazards will be identified, but caution is advised throughout the course. ANSI-approved helmets are required of all participants. View Map »

Run Course

Run Course6 mile out–and–back course.  Half will be on the park road, which will be open to limited vehicle traffic.  Other half of course will follow a flat, wooded multi-use trail that is open to recreational traffic.  There will be two aid stations along the course (more if weather is unseasonably hot) with water, sports drink, and power snacks.
